The moisture meter is intended for the continuous measurement of materials (e.g. grain, flour) in chutes. For whole grain, the total error of measurement (2 s.d.) is typically no more than 0.5 % moisture. The meter is therefore suitable for the continuous control of moisture and the automation of the conditioning process in flour milling. The device is easily incorporated into automatic process control systems. .
